Meet Kendal

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Owner of Metamorphosis Therapeutic Counseling, LLC

When I was around 10 years old, I remember having a very difficult time due to my parents divorce. I felt alone, misunderstood, and even hopeless at times. Thankfully, I was able to receive counseling from a wonderful lady who was a licensed marriage and family therapist. She was and still is my inspiration to help others in the same way she helped me. I wanted to learn the skills I needed to better myself and assist other people on their journey of healing and self-discovery.

I hold a Master's Degree in Family Therapy and have experience ranging from addiction rehabilitation, school counseling, crisis intervention, in-home community based treatment, and outpatient services.

My mission is to provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. I believe therapy should be both grounding and growth-oriented, where clients are encouraged to reconnect with their inner wisdom while also learning practical tools that support healing and emotional resilience.

Through a blend of authentic connection, relatable psychoeducation, and trauma-informed techniques such as somatic work, mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, I help clients make sense of their experiences and find balance between caring for others and honoring their own needs. My goal is for every person I work with to feel less alone, more hopeful, and more confident in both asking for help and trusting themselves on the journey toward a fuller, more meaningful life.

Facts about Me:

  • I have 2 dogs that are the cutest and funniest pups. One is actually a certified therapy dog -- see above photos

  • I am a huge animal person and love just about every animal that I meet.

  • I enjoy being outdoors in nature whether it is hiking, kayaking, or just in the backyard.

  • Butterflies have always been an important symbol in my life. I was raised believing that when you saw a butterfly it meant a deceased loved one was thinking about you.

    • I also believe in the transformation process that can happen in therapy just like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly.
